Can my dragon die?
Yes. There is no save or reload. Just like in real life, if a pet dies, it stays dead. Dragon Federation will provide a warning prior to dangerous/dragon deadly situations to help you make informed choices. Real life has consequences and so does the realm. Your choices may result in injury or death to your dragon.
How does Perma-death affect my gameplay?
Perma-death adds weight to your decisions. Losing your dragon forever emphasizes the importance of your choices and strategies in the experience.
How resilient are dragons in Dragon Federation?
Dragons are tough creatures and can live for several human generations. However, venturing into dangerous areas without proper preparation can pose risks to your companion.
What can I do if I am away for a while?
Dragons are hard-to-kill creatures. Dragons die if you choose to fight other dragons to the death or if you take your dragon somewhere too dangerous for you. A good example is a hatchling being brought into a cave to fight a bear, lets be honest a baby against a big predator will likely not survive that encounter.
However, your options are:
A. Have someone babysit (paid or unpaid friend or not) which can have its own issues and dangers.
B. Dragon Federation is working on a Vacation mode. Likely a subscription model.
C. Feeding your dragon can be done through the mobile app so take your phone with you!
Each option has its pro's and con's. Dragon Federation cannot control "acts of god" or accidents.
D. If your dragon is unhatched there is a planned dragon stasis mode.
Do I have to buy a new dragon if the one I have dies?
If you want a new dragon after a previous dragon has died, then it would need to be replaced. This would be through a purchase of a new egg/dragon from Dragon Federation for real life currency. Alternatively, another player could gift you with a dragon/egg. Future plans for dragon breeding are in place and being worked on for future updates, once breeding is available, then someone may sell you a dragon.
What happens when a player dies?
There is no perma-death in game for a player. Instead you will just be booted back to the login screen upon in game death for a player.
