Do I have to have a VR Headset?
No, At minimum you must have a cell phone that connects to the internet. The Device must be an AR capable mobile phone running Android operating version 9 or newer ; or iOS devices running iOS operating version 12 or higher.
How do I know if my mobile device is AR capable?
Please contact your mobile phones manufacturer as they are the ones who made your device. However you can look at the software version you are running by looking into settings on your device. You can also view a list Google has put together at: https://developers.google.com/ar/devices
(However your device manufacturer will have the most accurate and up to date information on your device.)
Recommended VR Headset?
The team has always had the ambition to be system agnostic. However support will roll out at different times for different devices. As of 2024 the team was aiming to first offer support to Quest 3 devices. More information will come out once this part of the experience is closer to official launch.
Mobile App Troubleshooting:
1. Battery Saver will negatively interact with the mobile phone app. Dragon Federation: Monitor. You will need to ensure that battery saver is not on while using the app.
2. For the app to work properly you will need to enable permissions to your camera, and microphone, as well as notifications.
3. You will need to be connected to the internet while using the Dragon Federation: Monitor.
4. Check to see that you are running the most up to date operating system version for your mobile device.
5. Check for updates to the app Dragon Federation: Monitor.
6. Clear cache and cookies on your phones browser an uninstall the mobile app if your issues are still unresolved. Turn your phone off for 30 seconds. Turn it back on and reinstall the mobile app.
Will there be a vacation mode/pause mode?
Yes. We understand that life happens and people get busy. We will have an Away mode. Where your egg will be maintained by Dragon Federation for a set time, however Dragon Federation will only maintain and preserve life. Setting into this mode may not progress your dragon towards the gender/class/temperament/personality you are working towards.
Where can I download the applications?
You can download the Dragon Federation: Monitor (That's the phone mobile app inside apple or google app stores. Reminder that the app is in a preview state and dragons will be reset at official launch.)
